At the age of 23, Dakota Jones is an accomplished tournament angler, fishing guide and outdoor industry professional. Beginning his tournament fishing career in the Pacific Northwest, Dakota captured 3 Junior state titles and 2 top finishes in the Junior World Championships before graduating high school. Competing in BASS Nation events and TBF tournaments, Dakota cut his teeth fishing the lakes and rivers of Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. An invitation to fish on a college team at Dallas Baptist University took him to Texas where he competed in BASS, FLW and Boat U.S. collegiate tournament trails, visiting some of the most popular freshwater fishing destinations across the United States. His love of catching bass evolved into chasing all kinds of fish with a broad array of tackle. From bass in heavy cover or redfish on the flats to fly fishing for spooky trout in the mountain lakes of the Northwest, Dakota is well versed in many fishing techniques. He now lives in Texas where he competes regularly in tournaments, is a bass fishing guide and works at Temple Fork Outfitters as the marketing specialist. Spending over 200 days a year on the water, Jones is passionate about fishing and the outdoors. He volunteers his spare time to work with the youth of the sport along with students, veterans, cancer fighters and survivors. A dedicated sportsman and tough competitor, be sure to keep an eye on this young man as he earns his place in the sport of fishing.
